Cedar Suede

Cedar Suede is a group that I have been covering for a couple of shows with my roommate Taylor who has been filming them. Jamie plays the accordion and Harold plays the guitar, together they create the most incredibly unique music. You can check out some of their videos at www.youtube.com/GropeCola

This show was on August 28th 2010 at the Rendezvous/ JewelBox Theater in Belltown

I have a slight obsession with the accordion, as does my roommate. Its just so beautiful!
I actually have an antique accordion at home in Minnesota that I want to get here and show Jamie.

This is not the last time you will be seeing Cedar Suede on my blog so if you enjoyed checking out the images make sure and stop back in the coming week and months!

Sewn Together part 1

Sewn Together is a film short that my roommate Taylor wrote, produced and directed. I was lucky enough to be a part of the production of it and also captured moments throughout the entire 15 hour process. Those are some of the highlights of the day thus far, I took over 600 images and it will take me a second or two to get through them.

Please stay tuned and I will add more images and tell you where the short can be viewed!

Hope you enjoy!

From The PERCH- The second installment

perch -noun
a high or elevated position, resting place, or the like.

September 2nd, 2010

So within the series From The PERCH, I will also be featuring "Through The Window" which is an idea inspired by The Perch. With no rules, just like I like it!

Through the Window

Yes, these were all in the same evening, I sat at home, watched and photographed as it changed...oh yeah, I was also texting my roommate Taylor to tell him he should be home to see it.

September 3rd, 2010

Labor Day Weekend was great being at The Perch, still getting settled but its hard when the view is so entertaining.. the Farmers Insurance blimp floated around all weekend.

September 4th, 2010

Confused by this last one? Can you guess what it is? Well, I try not to torture people so this time I will let you in on what it is. The railing on out deck has a gap in it and from the perfect angle I got the sunset steaming through the small slot..I love this image! You will definitely see more from this angle in the future.

This is a pretty good one to see the Interbay Golf Course.

Through the Window

From the PERCH

I have successfully survived yet another move, the 3rd in less than a year, actually! This is by far the best place so far since coming to Seattle, I now live in Upper Queen Anne. I have this amazing view of Magnolia, Lake Union and the Puget Sound, which has inspired a series I am now starting called "From the PERCH". I will be featuring images of our view and life in the new place!

So to start off the series, I'm posting the photos I took the first time we saw the place and fell in love with it.

Yes, the pink appliances were one of the things that won me over instantly...I had visions of my roommates and I hosting cocktail parties where I am cooking in the kitchen, wearing a 50's style dress with an apron and my hair in an updo!

This is the view from my bedroom window.

And last but certainly not least, the VIEW! Now, keep in mind these were taken using my point and shoot, enough said. In the coming days, I will be sharing my "real" images with you all.

Until then, I hope all is well and everyone is enjoying life!!
